The City of Yellowknife's next election will be held on October 15, 2018. Voters will elect 1 mayor and 8 councillors. They will also vote on whether to extend the term of council from the current 3 years to 4.
The incumbent mayor, Mark Heyck, is not seeking re-election. He served two terms as mayor, and announced his decision not to run in February 2018.
