Gordon Krantz

The Basics: Gordon Krantz is the Mayor of the Town of Milton. He was first elected to Council as a Councillor in 1965, and served until 1980 when he was elected as Mayor. Krantz has been elected for a total of 20 terms (8 as Councillor and 12 as Mayor), making him one of Canada's longest serving Mayors and politicians. He was re-elected in 2018 with a whopping 81.6% of the vote. 

Background: Before entering politics, Krantz was a part-time firefighter for the Town of Milton.

Things You (Really) Should Know: Milton was once Canada's fastest growing municipality, from the years of 2001 to 2011.

Fun Fact: During Krantz's mayoralty, Milton's population has grown from 5,000 to over 130,000.
