The Basics: Kevin Clarke has filed to run for Mayor in the City of Toronto. He has run for Mayor in numerous elections, dating back to 1994. He received 547 votes in the 2014 election, and 1,411 votes in the 2010 election. He is running in 2018 as the leader of The Peoples Political Party.
Background: Clarke is one of Toronto's most recognized homeless people, and has been open about his past struggles with addictions and crime. He worked as a Grade 5 teacher in Scarborough in the 1980s.
Platform: Neither Clarke or The Peoples Political Party have yet to release a platform. In past elections, Clarke's focus has been on issues of poverty, homelessness and the criminal justice system.
